The development of field deployable sensing tools is required to better assess the impact of societal activities on the environment.
In collaboration with DRDC-Valcartier and INRS in Quebec city, we developped a field deployable SPR sensor and a SERS sensor for identifying and quantifying the concentration of energetic materials in underground water.
The sensors are based on the specific extraction of nitroaromatics or different energetic materials with molecularly imprinted polymers. The photographs above showcase our first sampling trips.
